M L A    C i t a t i o n s

For all these exercises we will be using a temporary Google Classroom and Google Docs. We will be working through most of the exercises together as a class.

Step 1:

​

Go to classroom.google.com and join the Google Classroom using student#@pdsb.net as your login and your regular network password as your Google password.  This will not work if you use your own gmail account - you MUST use @pdsb.net. Click on the + symbol to join a new class. Type in the class code that the Teacher-Librarian gives you.

Step 2:

​

Open "MLA8th Style Essay" in Docs by clicking on the assignment link in the classroom.

​

Step 3:

​

Open a new tab in your web browser by clicking on the citefast.com online citation tool.

​

Open another new tab in your web browser by clicking on the Purdue Online Writing Lab link.

​

Open another new tab in your web browser to cite this YouTube video in MLA8 style.

​

Step 4:

​

Work along with your Teacher-Librarian to correct the essay and create a Works Cited page in MLA8th Edition style.
